Kevin Our friends over @ Canalside Racing Products just announced a new Carbon Fiber Chassis Brace Kit for the Team Associated SC10 4×4. It looks mighty sturdy! (Their website is currently down for renovation, but there is proper contact info below).
Unlike the thin braces from other suppliers (which use small diameter shafts & ends), Canalside Racing Products manufactures their braces from THICK Carbon Fiber shafts with X weave technology. They also use large heavy duty ends from 1/8 scale buggies.
The brace kit removes chassis flex, which causes belt slippage, premature wear, or loss of the belt. The brace is also essential for high grip applications such as carpet or asphalt. The kit comes assembled with the rear mounting screw and locknut. Use what the pros use.
Installation requires only three simple steps:
1. Remove the front underbody mount and install brace end with screw.
2. Mark rear hole and drill through transmission brace with a 1/8″ drill bit (not supplied).
3. Install brace with the supplied screw and locknut.
