Kevin After hearing several reports from various venues, we called Horizon Hobby ourselves and the rumor seems to be true. The Losi 1/10 Slider (LOSB0290) has been discontinued. Time will tell if they will announce a replacement, but for now it looks like bad news for oval racers.
The slider has been a staple at oval tracks across the nation in recent years. One of our local tracks has a class dedicated to this car. It stinks to know that you can no longer get one unless you find a used one.
As with all recently discontinued items, you can probably expect parts to be available for some time yet through retailers or places like ebay.
A few people have suggested letting Horizon know that you want it to still be produced. If you’d like to voice your opinion to them, feel free to call 800-338-4639 or 877-504-0233. Keep in mind we don’t know if they have a replacement in the pipe though.

Sad to hear of this decision. We have a very healthy dirt tri oval class for Sliders as well as a local carpet track that runs two different classes for them.
I hope a replacement is in the pipeline and this doesn’t mean Losi has stepped out of dirt oval entirely.
