Known for super realistic, scale parts, Rogue Element Components announced the re-release of their dash kit for the Tamiya Sand Scorcher/Beetle. This time they are offering it in a right hand drive version as well. As with all of their products, this is available for a short time only. He’s taking orders until April 1, 2013. OK Scorcher fans, I’m doing a not-usual Re-Issue of these beasties, last offered almost 2 years ago, as I get CONSTANT requests for ’em. It has also come to my attention that, against what is proper, not all countries use left-hand drive (?!?)  So for the 1st (And possibly last) time, these will be available in RIGHT HAND DRIVE also!  Now is the time if you missed out last round, wanted RHD, or just wanted more- These re-issues are not common, so if you have a buddy with a Beetle, please forward this Email to them.  You may want to score an extra one or two for trade purposes while you have the chance, these have been my 2nd biggest seller yet & will always be in demand. Everyone wants special bits to set their Scorcher apart, and it’s getting tough- Most parts are commonly available & everyone has ’em.  Here’s something no one has offered besides us, and it’s a Godsend for the scale builder!

Metal, Plastic, and Clear scale gauges!

These are ‘multimedia’ kits, utilizing CNC’d 6061 Aluminum, Polystyrene, and gauges printed with perfect clarity on transparency:  These are truly stunning in person, crisp detail, engraving, 100% scale!  (Look up online comments about these.) The metal protrudes through the Styrene, giving you 3D, REAL metal trim just like the 1:1 Beetle, and it looks it (Not like chrome sticker.)  Coupled with flawless fine engraving, the effect is fantastic, but I don’t stop there:  The clear gauges/radio can be back-lit by simply inserting your LED, and these JUMP out instead of just sitting there!  The light reflects off the white Styrene to give great definition- Harsh ‘Straight’ light from the back is a bit too harsh (See top photo,) so indirect light is used (Pic below) and works PERFECTLY: Plus, with the curved light reflector, only 1 LED is needed. You can use a red or blue LED to tint the gauges also! The detail is easily on par with Tamiya’s molding.  Assembly is simple, and in no time your Scorcher will be much more realistic.
