Next up is Bag G.
Here we have the rear hubs. Boy have these gotten huge on 2wd buggies over the years. I remember how dainty the one’s on my first RC10B3 were. Like the front steering parts, these have a ton of adjustability built in.
There are multiple optional inserts for the Rear Hub Insert (0° , 0.5° , 1° ). The 0° is the standard insert used.
The rear hubs use 2 different size bearings in them.
They feature various link inserts for different ball stud positioning. A 2 hole and a 3 hole, and they can be installed with holes up or down for a great amount of adjustability.
The CVD’s assemble like most any other.
There’s no set screw though, as the pin is captured by the inner race of the hub bearing.
Drive pin installed.
Visual of the captured pin.
Rear hubs ready to install.
Looks like we’re finally getting somewhere.
