Before they got into the mains, the RC Excitement team brought out some door prize/raffle goodies. Each entry gained you one ticket. You could then purchase additional ones throughout the weekend for more chances to win. They gave away thousands of dollars of equipment. Everything from bodies, gift certificates, ESC’s, servos, shirts, pit mats all the way up to two brand new Associated Pro-Lite 4×4 SC trucks. Very cool of them to give that all away. This is a good time to mention this. I feel as if this race was a very good bargain. The entry fee for the first class was $45 (which is about on par with today’s trophy races), but that fee got you TWO JConcepts t-shirts (one for the RC Excitement stop, and one for the National series), a coupon to Subway down the road for a BOGO Footlong, and the entry into this great giveaway. That’s almost like racing for free, especially if you won something from the raffle. Great deal for sure.
Goodies!
After the raffle while Mains were posted someone was running the new Losi Ten Rally-X car around the track.

So, with the race behind us we’ve moved into carpet season. I think this was a great way to end the off-road season for us for the year. We had a good time despite the long days at the track. The racing was clean and tight and it was a well run race. They did the best they could with the amount of entries they had to get everyone through the races in a timely manner. It was good to see everyone from New England again (3rd time in 3 months – I swear I should just move out there..). As far as the facility, I’d like to thank Todd Anderson for the hospitality and running such a fine establishment. We look forward to coming out there again sometime!
Great race overall. If you didn’t make it this year, you should definitely try to next year if it will be there again. Sign up early though, the race sold out this year and probably will again.
