Here we have the 1/8 track. This side of the event was run by none other than legendary race announcer Scotty Ernst. Calling the track enormous would be an understatement. MIP driver Matt Olson said it’s the biggest, and roughest he’s ever run on. It didn’t stop him from taking the TQ and the Win in 4wd Short Course Expert though. I didn’t venture over here much because everything I was running was on the 1/10 side. There were a lot of spectators watching, and it looked like a decent lay out. I heard a lot of grumbling in the pits about 2 things though.. one was the size of the track (it’s almost too big), and it’s hard to see. Last year the driver’s stand was a full tier higher of scaffolding if memory serves. That would have been a huge advantage, especially on the back straight that went uphill and away from you.

None the less, the drivers pulled through it and put on a good show.
