I know this is late (mainly due to technical difficulties uploading the videos), but this is our coverage of the mini event we had within the CNY Winter bash, called THE CHASE. The original announcement for this mini event can be found here.

This 5 minute race was free to enter to participants of the CNY Winter Bash. The coverage for that event in it’s entirety is here. Basically we took our RC Soup Desert Patrol Police EXO from Axial that is part of our Children’s Miracle Network Benefit, and chased down fellow EXO racers on the track.

The race was run as a normal race would, with a starting grid. We didn’t do qualifying so entries just lined up by how they entered. Our POLICE EXO started at the back of the field and allowed everyone to get a good head start before taking off. What makes this event unique is our Police Exo is equipped with multiple flashing LED’s, generously provided by Hobbypartz.com and RC-Lights.com (The RC-Lights.com ones are in the factory LED locations). If a racer was passed by our Police Exo, that racer had to pull to the side of the track for a 5 count. They could then resume racing.

Our Police Exo was not competing, but just wreaking havoc on the track and interfering with everyone else’s race. You will see in the footage below that it was a crowd pleaser.

Total we had 6 other entries show up. We wish we had more, but it was enough to run the event.

The rules were simple to keep it fair.

• Must be an Axial EXO.
• Any motor/ESC (timing allowed)
• Any tire, we’d prefer stock, but we aren’t going to force it on anyone.
• 2s Lipo

Axial stepped up and donated prizes for the winners. I can’t thank them enough for helping make this a cool little event.

Last but not least, we have the Podium/participants shot. Thanks again guys for bringing the EXOs out to play. Congrats to Justin Kelly on taking the Win. Scott Brooks took 2nd. Richard Hitchcock took 3rd. Jason Punty wasn’t counting because he was left out of the race lineup. Thanks again to Axial for being part of it!
