October 7th, 2012 
Matt The Compound RC Raceway in Athens, PA, is set to kick off their new season. Athens PA is located in the Northeast corner of the state, approximately 30 minutes west of Binghamton NY.

On October 14th, they are having a free open practice day. There will be organized practice runs, food, a bonfire, and maybe even some fireworks.
For the new season, they have completely redesigned the track. Check out some pictures of the construction and the new layout.
The October 14th event is to prepare for the start of the Winter Warfare Series, which kicks off on October 28.
That 8:00am time is when the track opens for practice. Registration closes at 12pm.

RTR models only(Sc10 RS, esc, motor, and rear tires not allowed)

Race Length and Format
All heats are 5 minutes long
All lower Mains are 6 minutes long, all A Mains are 8 minutes long.
Heats will use IFMAR starting (you start individually when your name is called), All Mains are heads up, started by the tone.
