RPM is branching out and touching on new manufacturers for our line of aftermarket parts. Based on consumer response they feel the Axial EXO Terra Buggy should be a great candidate for a new line of parts from RPM. They are starting this line-up with a set of front and rear a-arms. These a-arms are sure to make EXO owners happy with a long list of changes that include – better ground clearance, less slop, lighter weight, stronger…. and the list goes on!

RPM A-arms for the Axial EXO Terra Buggy are designed with unique features found only on RPM A-arms. RPM uses 30 degree leading and trailing edges, which help the vehicle transition up and over tall objects instead of plowing into or through them. Their over sized bosses for the hinge pin, shock mount and screws help support high breakage areas. Key over sized areas can be larger in diameter by at least 10% and wider by as much as 65%! RPM engineers tweaked the shock mount angle on the rear A-arms to eliminate the bind on the lower shock pivot ball at full suspension droop found with stock a-arms. A full set of front and rear A-arms from RPM weigh in less than stock arms as well, shedding unsprung weight in the process of adding some much needed muscle. A final, critical touch eliminates much of the slop from the suspension and steering systems. Hinge pin hole diameters are now .118″ (or 3mm), cutting nearly .004″ (.1mm) of slop from each hinge pin!

Tech Notes: To reduce excessive free play in the suspension and steering systems even further, RPM recommends purchasing true, on-size 3mm (.118″) hinge pins to replace the threaded rod used as the stock inner hinge pin in both the front and rear locations of the EXO (not available through RPM). The stock threaded pin is undersized by .004″ (.1mm).
