This is a cool kickstarter project being run by a guy named Andy Bailey up in Oregon. RC Soup isn’t affiliated with this project, we are merely trying to help spread the word. Andy has designed a 1/10 scale wheel for RC cars based on the steel wheels from the 1960’s. These were popular on muscle cars and rat rods. They give a car that “sleeper” look. The wheel will be made out of injection molded plastic. They will also be available in white so they can be dyed to match your body. This is for the wheel itself only, no tires will be included. These are not in production yet. He’s trying to get the word out and get preorders for these so that they can be produced.

At this point he is seeking pledges for funding of this project. See this website for all the details. There is a minimum goal that he has to reach in order to go to production. Time is running short, so get your orders in now. These things look really cool and would make an excellent scale addition to any muscle car.

If he meets the minimum goal for having the wheels produced, they are looking at a potential ship date in August 2012.
