Below is the standard wheel hub (left hand). It is a basic pan car style hub with a grub screw and 4 mounting holes (wheel screws to the hub).
This is the right hand hub/spur gear mount. The Digger uses 32p spur gears.
This is the rear end/wheelie bar area of the stock Digger. No mods are needed to this area for pulling. We just hook on between the rollers. That is the Trinity Green Machine 3 that took Kris Button to 3rd place at the Hanger Pull. This was borrowed as well, read the link for what happened. We have our own 27t Stock Motor going in though now.
The metal silver brace moves against the motor to prevent the motor from shifting. It takes playing around to get this set right. Basically you leave it loose, adjust the motor/spur mesh, remove the axle, push the brace against the motor, tighten, and reinstall spur/axle assembly.
Here is the motor we have lined up for this weekend. It’s a blueprinted/dyno tuned Fast1’s (FastOne’s) 27t Stock motor. I don’t know much about it, other than we got it new in package from Joseph Chuhak of Michigan Monsters of RC, monster truck racing club. He must have had it laying around a while, because I couldn’t find any info on the manufacturer and the website URL on the box no longer works. Whatever, we’ll see what it can do.
Here it is all mounted up.
Very nice Kevin. Puller looks awesome. Good luck this weekend!
So where are you guys attaching the sled to the diggers? I pull and think this would be an awesome cheap class to start. I have prob 4 of these chassis already. Thanks
We just use the wheelie bar. I still need to cut out the spot in the body for access though.
The spur gear hub you can get from outlawhobbies.com and I believe servocity.com
Are there other wheels and tires there using like a tlt wheel and tire? Sorry for all the questions but I think this would be a good class to add to ours . Just doing some homework before I suggest us adding this class.
