JConcepts announces some new releases in the waning days before the RCX show.

First up are new 3Ds

Straight-out of the JConcepts Third Dimension are the creatively designed 3Ds 1/10^th buggy race tire. Debuted at the IFMAR World Championships in Pattaya, Thailand for the 1/8^th buggy class, the 3Ds designed by Jason Ruona and tested by the JConcepts Team are a first of their kind. Developed to be the ultimate Slick-groove tire, the 3Ds are a first to combine the high-stability design of a black groove bar tire into an individually flexible pattern of finely spaced Double Dee lugs in one package. 3Ds include the And-1 insert.

The roots of the 3Ds design came after extensive research and development over a period of 2 racing seasons. As racing on both indoor and outdoor conditions have matured, a more flexible, supremely grippy tire design was necessary to drive the edgy, fast pace. The 3Ds grip as a new, highly sought after, favorite in these conditions.

3Ds excel on indoor and outdoor hard packed surfaces with either dry or wet conditions. Drivers will feel the immediate impact of the exclusive design and proprietary rubber compound as they rip around the track at blistering speeds. An all-out design for racing, pure JConcepts.

Next on the list are inverted wheels for the Associated B4

JConcepts is rocking the world once again with the debut of the Inverse, 2-piece 12mm hex wheel for the B4.1 and B44.1. The 2-piece design provides several benefits for maximum performance and ease of use. The inner wheel comes standard in a stealth, black matte finish providing the driver a look and feel never seen before. In addition, the inner wheel is designed as a completely smooth surface for the cleanest fit and finish which resists debris build-up. Previous industry standard designs with heavy ribbing have a tendency to catch debris which affects balance and weight and especially on surfaces with a lot of surface loam or loose dirt.

The outer dish, available in bright white or fluorescent yellow is creatively interlocked with the wheel and with the addition of inner screws and interior ribbing provide tuned rigidity. While utilizing the 4 screw combination from the inside, the Inverse wheel provides a stable and highly rigid wheel which allows the transfer of power through tire, wheel and insert minimizing overwhelming wheel flex characteristics. The Inverse wheel face also incorporates a user friendly wheel face shaped to promote a smoother gluing, wiping and drying experience. Wheels are branded with the JC logo for brand identification and authenticity. The Inverse wheel package forms a light-weight, clean design that is pure JConcepts style and function.

Secure the wheels to the vehicle, use only the included flanged steel locknuts for B4.1 / B44.1 or JConcepts #2075 (blue) #2076 (black) serrated wheel nuts. Flanged nuts completely cover the interlocking tabs located near the center of the wheel which correctly connects the 2-piece design. Using this wheel on any buggy requires a flanged lock-nut or washer to cover the center tab configuration.

And finally a new nut set

Locknut security is important while building any assembly. In today’s racing environment it’s important to be secure while also being lightweight. The introduction of the 29 piece, molded, 3mm locknut gives a flexible, lightweight design to just about any application. In addition to the compact and user friendly design, the convenient 5.5mm hex design allows the use of the popular sized nut driver for the easiest on and off accessibility.
