On to bag D. Some kits tell you when to break out the next bag. This one you’ll find that as you run out of parts, you need to check the next bag for the parts you’re looking for in the next step.

We’ll continue assembling the front suspension, including the sway bars. Here are the end links for the front sway bars

You need to have the two eyelets at approximately 90° to each other.

The sway bar end links get attached to the lower control arms

The sway bar gets attached to the diff case. Make sure you don’t over-tighten these screws, you want to sway bar to move freely.

There are small grub screws in the end links, these should be tight

Here was another issue in the manual. You can see it says 3x10mm Round Head, but the picture clearly shows 3x10mm flat head screws. The issue is that the manual is for the EX-1. Not the EX1.5R. The upgrades in the 1.5R necessitate changes be made in the manual. Personally, I think they should keep a single manual, but add insert pages for the Pro kits. It would save a lot of confusion.

This is the front upper suspension plate and hinge pin holder. I went with 3x12mm flat head screws again as they give you a ton of those

These are the front upper arm hinge pins

One side of the hinge pin slides into the shock tower. The other side goes into the bracket we just attached. You’ll notice a flat spot on the hinge pin, this gets held in place with a grub screw.
