Bag J, and finally we can start assembling the chassis!
The EX1.5R Pro features a 7075 Aluminum chassis plate. Very light, but also very strong
There are plastic side guards for both sides of the chassis. We ran into a problem here, as the screw holes in the chassis didn’t quite line up with the side guards.
We need these side guards, so we had to make it fit. You can see the bow in the plastic from being forced to line up the holes
To really show you how far off it is, here is the side guard with the center screw removed. The screw holes are good 1/8″ off
Lets continue, shall we? You can now mount the front suspension to the chassis. There is also a small plastic front bumer that gets sandwiched in there
We also need to put screws through the chassis in the steering assembly.
We also mount the rear to the chassis at this point
