In the same hall as the car show, which likely had the most foot traffic, Traxxas had a booth setup. They had almost every vehicle they make on display. They also had an inflatable Try-Me track with 2 jumps setup in an oval. The general public got behind the wheel of a Traxxas Slash 2wd. It looked like they were having a blast! I’m sure Traxxas got a few new fans and r/c’ers from doing this. I think a lot of hobby shops could benefit from doing something like this at their local fair, or other event that draws a crowd. Who knows who is out there that is unaware of our amazing hobby and just waiting for someone to come along and show them!
Traxxas also had their new 100mph XO-1 in the house on a dyno machine.
Here you see the Traxxas Monster Jam stampede line up! Very cool! Anyone in the Cleveland area or attenting iHobby this year should maybe consider picking one of these guys up and entering the High Voltage RC Monster Truck Championship Event.
Then there’s the Traxxas 1/16 line of trucks.. everything from the Mini Summit and Revo to the Nastruck.
They also had their 1/10 lineup of Slash and Stampedes.
Then they had the 1/8 trucks like the T-Maxx, Revo, and Summit.
Traxxas also had a small jumping arena. This was to demo the trucks frequent flyer miles by some of the Traxxas crew. I do not believe this area was for the general public to drive. While we were there they demoed the Monster Jam Grave Digger and an E-Revo.
We didn’t get a chance to talk to this group, but they were setup right next to Traxxas. It was a Drift track where 4wd touring cars drifted around on the slick concrete floor around a track they setup. They had a little speed shop garage and parking lot in the center. A lot of scale realism is involved in these cars looks and their environment. Very cool stuff!
They have a Coca-Cola vending machine!
