Can’t have a car this fast without steering, so I guess we should install that too. This is my least favorite part of this kit, the 2 part steering linkage. It’s hard to adjust and I’d rather have seen some actual turnbuckles with ball studs and ball cups. I can’t expect much though for a kit with a street price just over $80. Oh well, we’ll use this as intended.
As you can see, the linkage is made up of 2 links, connected in the middle with a collar. By the way, the servo saver is not included, and I had to make a special hobby shop trip to get it, so make sure that is in your shopping cart when buying this kit. The Z bends of the linkage just slides into the knuckles and the saver.
Here I’ve mounted my beat up, but still dependable Airtronics 94358 servo with double sided tape to the plate. It would only require drilling 2 holes to use something like a pair of Team Associated aluminum servo mounting posts to get the servo to stay put for good. Might be my next mod.
Now all the electronics are installed, wires tidied up and whatnot.
I once again used the Z-OPT Lite on the front axles to help those bushings roll smoothly.
