When I got to the shocks, I ran into my first issue with the manual. While I could figure out which way they went, the pictures don’t do the shock bodies justice. There are no written instructions throughout the manual, so the pictures need tell the whole story.
The shocks went together just as the picture above shows. The shock shaft gets an E Clip at the top, with a plastic washer underneath. In the bottom of the shock, two rubber O-rings sandwich a plastic bushing. I filled the shocks with the included 30wt oil.
Now we add the springs. This kit has a dual spring setup. A stiffer, shorter spring goes at the top of the shock, with a longer, softer spring at the bottom. This gives a dual rate to the suspension. The further the shock compresses, the stiffer the spring becomes.
