Just kidding. 🙂
There are roughly 9 bags of metal parts and hardware, and 2 bags of plastic parts. There is also a bag with the manual, some decals, and some spare parts. The kit includes shock oil, and thread locker. We’ll use both in the following pages.
Lets dig into Bag A.
With bag A, we will be constructing both the front and rear axles.
First we construct the input bevel gears.
Next up is the differential and axles for the front.
As with most kits, the manual for the SCX10 features full sized images for all of the parts used, so that you can match up the parts to make sure you have the right one.
Next we insert the dogbones into the differential, as well as seat the bearings the differential and dogbone ride on within the axle housing.
Here’s both sides completed. Like my jack stands? They are included with the kit. They are actually gate markers for crawling on rocks or other obstacles, but they worked well in this application as well.
