The body mount posts are held in place with body clips through the shock towers
This little guy is the spare tire mount for the bed of the truck. Having a full size spare out back gives the truck a very realistic look. They give you 5 tires with the kit, and you pick one to use as a spare. All 5 are interchangeable.
Here is the painted bed, with the cage mounted to it.
The cab is painted, and its time to start peeling the window mask
The Cab gets bolted to the rear cage and body
When it came to mounting the body after being painted, I started to hate the rear body clips. They put them in an awkward position, with no means to change the configuration. The clips face front to back. You are constrained by the spare tire in the bed, and the faux gas tank that is molded into the body. It is very difficult to get the clips out without the aid of needle nose pliers.
That’s it, the truck is done. On the next page, we will reveal the finished product. Drum roll, please!!
