Bag G. The last parts bag
The parts in Bag G will be used to assemble the beadlock wheels and tires
First insert the wheel into the center of the tire. There is a crevice around the circumference of the wheel in which the bead of the tire will seat.
The kit comes with 8 beadlock plates. There are 4 for the inside of the wheels, and 4 for the outside of the wheels. Don’t mix them up. Here you can see the style for the inside of the wheel. 6 Screws hold it in place. Don’t overtighten these screws or you risk stripping them.
The plate for the outside of the tire has pieces that jut out towards the center of the wheel. I’m not sure if this is an aesthetic choice, or if it serves a purpose to have the correct rings on the correct side. Either way, match all 4 wheels to the manual.
Once the beadlock tires are assembled, its time to mount them on the truck. First, you have to put a drive pin through the axle shaft.
Next, slide on the hex adapter. It is slotted on the back to fit over the drive pin.
Lastly there is a small grub screw that holds the hex in place.
Now we can bolt on the tires
The kit comes with decorative wheel nut covers. I thought they looked pretty cool, so I threw them on there.
