Now we have the spur gear and belt assembly.
Here’s a shot of the belt tensioners. They are just small plastic rollers with bearings that attach to a metal bracket.
The tensioners mount in a groove on both ends of the truck. They are adjustable so you can tighten it once the belt breaks in. The manual gives you a pretty good starting point.
Next up is slipper clutch assembly. This is pretty much like your standard slipper setup but with an extra gear behind it.
Here you can see how the belt rides on that gear and under the tensioner.
The tensioners are adjustable from the outside of the gearbox via 2 screws. One screw is the bracket itself, and the other locks the position into grooves on said bracket.
